New ‘Green Building Renewables’ company launched

As the UN COP 26 climate conference in Glasgow is about to get underway, a new renewables company has just been launched, which aims to deliver expert advice and renewables installations throughout Yorkshire and beyond. Green Building Renewables is based in Yorkshire but has big ambitions to extend more widely across mainland Britain, offering heat pumps, solar PV and solar thermal installations.

Green Building Renewables is a sister company to the Huddersfield-based low energy specialist company Green Building Store.  It aims to bring together the expertise of smaller expert renewable installation companies, starting with the long-established York-based company GoEco Renewables and builds on the GoEco team’s 20 years’ technical experience in the field.

Chris Delaney of Green Building Renewables said:

“Green Building Renewables is a different type of renewables company. We understand the importance of an ‘energy efficiency first’ approach and work closely with Green Building Store to offer our clients a ‘whole house’ service. We won’t recommend heat pumps or renewable systems unless we think they are right for your property and we make sure that all systems are carefully modelled to meet your heating and energy needs.”

Both Green Building Renewables and Green Building Store are members of the Efficient Building Solutions.

“We want to help facilitate the upscaling of renewable and low carbon energy in the UK. By bringing together a number of knowledgeable and experienced installation companies we hope to create an efficient, dependable and expert network of installers. The Green Building Renewables network will help speed up the transition to low carbon energy and make it easier for households to ‘re-energise’ their homes”.

Green Building Renewables will be operating from its two bases at York and Doncaster. The plan is to expand its network quickly adding new regional installers over time.

Green Building Renewables will be exhibiting at Harrogate Homebuilding & Renovating Show (Stand C305) from 5-7 November and Chris Delaney will be giving a Masterclass on ‘Heat Pumps – Air or Ground source? Finding the right solution for your project’ during the Show on Sunday 7 November at 2.30pm.
